Ding-dong, this site is dead. My web presense is now on the ucr servers at http://student.ucr.edu/~dtrud001/. What will I do with this webspace? Who cares, tripod sucks.

September 10, 2003-

I will no longer post personal remarks here. I will now blog at http://jade42.blogspot.com. I will continue to add to the other parts of this site in the future.

Comic-con was such great fun. Only during the ride home do you feel the weight of a five-day con on you. I saw cosplayers, babes, idols and fanboys. I'll never wash these eyes again.

I am deviant. Also, I have new programs.

For some time I've been playing this game called Kings of Chaos over the internet. It's a slow turn-based war game that serves as a nice distraction from time to time. In order to increase my strength in the game I need people to click on this link: http://www.kingsofchaos.com/page.php?id=394478. Every person who does so can do it every twenty-four hours. Click, share, keep clicking it.

I have two important things the relate:

1- Celine Dion's new Vegas show sucks the big one.

2- Freelancer is the game I have always wanted to play. I only have the demo, but it already owns me none the less.

3- I now have execellent karma on Slashdot. All my posts now start off with an automatic score of two.

March 20, 2003-

Oh what days, what days. Let's take them one bit at a time. So now we're at war. Here it is, can't stop it now. I like it, I think it's good. End of discussion for now. On to some funny stories.

Last night as I roamed outside of my room to gather people for dinner I heard an odd noise as I passed someone's room in another hallway. At first, I thought it was music however, I quickly realized what was gracing my ears. It's too bad I'm just typing this or I could better describe the rather loud moaning sounds emanating from behind the door. *insert sound here* That's right, I'll say it plainly, those were the sounds of sweet sweet lovin'. Now, this didn't bother me as such. I'm an 'adult' I can handle that. What struck me off guard was just that it was the first time that I was ever personally privy to the sounds to two people having sex mere feet away from me.

And now for something completely different:

I had a final at 11:30 this morning. The funny thing is that at 10:30 my alarm went off and I didn't get up. My roommate informs me that I simply turned it off and continued to sleep. Of course I don't remember any of this. Much to my horror, I ended up waking at 12:30. But wait, I'm not done. During my frantic bike-ride to the final, I spotted some war protesters. As I passed them, I couldn't resist giving them the eh, how do you say? oh yes, bird. I don't think anybody saw me, but it's the thought that counts. Right? Now I could suppose I could go on about how the building that my final was in is really three buildings and how that confused the crap out of me, but I have to admit to myself that it is really not all that funny. The remainder of the day has been very dull and un-funny. Except perhaps when I found my bike parking spot taken. But no one gives a fuck anyway.

March 12, 2003-

I can't wait for this quarter to end. Finals loom and homework demands to be done. This week I have to finish physics homework (tonight), chemistry homework, read the remainder of a novel, write a draft essay, and study for finals. What fun I shall have. It's against my better judgement but I can't help but skip back home for a bit this weekend. I really should be studying but hey, isn't that what the night before is for? And to top it all off, I haven't even registered for my classes next quarter yet. Crap, I'm lazy.

You know, I think that Frank Sinatra was the coolest man of the twentieth century. Just wanted to share that with you.

Cry havoc! and let's slip the dogs of war.

February 24, 2003-

I can't help but feel sometimes that I have no idea what I'm doing. Here I am at college and I'm not quite sure why. This is what society has created as the path for advancement and so I follow it. Will it suit me, time will tell. Oh, and by the way, the writings section has undergone a makeover.

February 23, 2003-

Religion is once again the hot topic at sias-jeva and it looks like I'm right in the middle. I guess that I'll have to write an article of my own now. At my writing rate, that will be in a month or so.

February 19, 2003-

If you notice a change in the way the site looks, good job, there is. I tweaked the way the layout is defined in order to make it look better on non-IE browsers. I just migrated to Opera 7 and it was due time. <-- addendum (2-21-03): The articles are a bit off since I haven't gotten to re-writing them. It's a lot of copy, paste and touch-up. -->

is it real
when will I ever know

never has it been explained
never can it be

what is it to be in love
can it be defined with words

no I say
no

but let it come anyway
for I cannot live without it

It's 6:51 in the damm AM and I'm just now getting to bed. Oh I hate chemistry soooo much. I hate my professor, I hate my homework. This crap shouldn't take five hours.

February 12, 2003-

Just for kicks I'm asking the people out there what CD I should buy online for myself.
So just tell me what you think that I should buy.
I was looking at Zappa, Beefheart and Gorillaz before I gave up.

In order to let me get some feedback, I've set up a guestbook on a temp basis.
<-- addendum (2-19-03): polls are closed. SBR wins -->

Here are my favourite quotes from tonight's Futurama:

Prof. - Everyone's in favor of saving Hitler's brain, but when you put in a body of a great white shark, ~OOOOOO~, suddenly you've gone too far!

Prof. - This my universal translator. Unfortunately so far it only translates into an incomprehensible dead language.
Cubert - Hello
Universal Translator - Bonjour
Prof. - Crazy gibberish!

Bender - Well, life goes on. Except you for!

Robot 1 - Seize them!
Robot 2 - Seize them!
Robot 3 - Seize them!
Robot 4 - Get them! Uh, I mean seize them!

Prof. - I'm a spry as a hundred and forty year old.
*jumps*
Prof. - See? I only broke one ankle.

Some things transcend...

a moment without time
and seemed to go so fast
ever fleeting, ever dashing
they never seem to last

I knew not what to do
for my mind was ablaze
ever will I think of her
until my dying days

February 6, 2003-

Wow, April put my e-mail up. Some things are beyond joy.

I woke up at four today, hehe.

February 2, 2003-

One of the few things that motivates me to write is school and the lack of passing if I don't. So for your intellectual pleasure I have my opinion essay the I wrote for my english class. Don't be shy to report any problems that you can find. <-- addendum (2-6-03): I'm aware that it is full of typos. I'll get around to correcting them soon, give me a break, I'm frickin' dyslexic. --><-- addendum (2-8-03): Blatant errors have been fixed. The logic could use a little work, though. -->
